The sales person gave us a quote for $319 per stool (written on a business card). We came to DirectBuy and had several associates help find the right catalog, found our barstool and ended up paying $193.08 (including shipping & handling). At the Open House, after hearing the "pitch" for DirectBuy, we were undecided. We weren't sure it would be worth joining or not as we are not ones who really buy a lot in general, unless we absolutely need something. The timing for us was right though because we were planning a downstairs renovation. It was a difficult decision - we are working hard to get debt free so putting the paid in full membership amount on our credit card was not an easy thing to do. We saw the great value of DirectBuy membership and knew it would benefit us. What ultimately tipped the balance for us: we spent about five hours going through the DirectBuy South Jersey showroom, looking in books but still were not convinced. Then we saw the members' website and were really able to check prices and saw significantly lower costs on some of the items we had already purchased for our home. Many of the staff members stopped to speak with us while we were making our decision - everyone seemed very happy to have us as guests and were helpful without making us feel pushed or rushed. Of course, we joined that day and had an informative New Member Orientation a week later and ordered our kitchen cabinets. Next in line is flooring for the kitchen which we have already picked out at the DirectBuy showroom. I have already made a list of people I plan to refer through the URefer program and am excited about helping them join this great program. We couldn't be happier with our decision.

I would like to say that the staff here at DirectBuy are the most helpful, understanding people I have ever met. With the big project of remodeling our kitchen, they have been a "God Sent". From the designer to the warehouse personel there are the TOP!
They make me feel no problem is too small or big for them to give a helping hand with a smile. As many times that i have been here I feel like they are my family and watching out for me. So I think they are the greatest!

Service Manager notes - we had 2 carpet orders for this member. Once one of them was installed it was found to be defective. We reordered but accidently ordered the wrong one. It took us a while to get it straight but we took care of the member and here is what he had to say.
